President’s Message
Dear Lumina Christian University Family,
Lumina—Latin for “lights”—was born out of a commitment to the three great lights revealed in Scripture. These lights define who we are, how we live, and where we are going: our Missional Identity, Missional Life, and Missional Destiny.
Missional Identity: Who We Are in the Light
“The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world” (John 1:9).
At the core of our being, our identity is rooted in Christ—the Light who illumines our minds and renews our hearts. In Him, we are born of light, called into light, and shaped by the Father’s love revealed through His life, cross, and resurrection. This is who we are: people of the Light.
Missional Life: Experiencing the Light
“As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you” (John 20:21).
The light of Christ is not only what defines us but also what we experience daily. We live in the radiance of His presence, guided, strengthened, and transformed by His Spirit. This missional life calls us to shine the light we have received, bringing hope and truth wherever God places us.
Missional Destiny: Sharing the Gift of Light
“The city has no need of sun or moon…for the glory of God gives it light” (Revelation 21:23).
Our destiny is not only to walk in the light but to share it as a gift with the world. Every graduate of Lumina carries Christ’s light into homes, communities, and nations. In doing so, you create glimpses of God’s coming glory and participate in His eternal kingdom.
May you embrace these threefold lights—identity, life, and destiny—and let the gift of Christ’s light shine through you into a world that walks in darkness.
In His Radiant Service
